Small Health Care Organization (SHCO) Accreditation Program

SHCO Accreditation Program

NABH has developed a separate accreditation programme for SHCO i.e. hospitals and nursing homes or day care centres with bed strength less or equal to 50 Sanctioned beds.

Outline of NABH SHCO Standards, 2nd Edition

  1. Access, Assessment and Continuity of Care (AAC)
  2. Care of Patients (COP)
  3. Management of Medication (MOM)
  4. Patient Rights and Education (PRE)
  5. Hospital Infection Control (HIC)
  1. Continues Quality Improvement (CQI)
  2. Responsibilities of Management (ROM)
  3. Facilities Management and Safety (FMS)
  4. Human Resource Management (HRM)
  5. Information Management System (IMS)
  1. Raises community confidence and trust
  2. Enhances the quality of patient care &safety
  3. Roadmap for standardization
  4. Improved patient satisfaction levels
  5. Provides for continuous learning, good working environment
  6. Provides an objective system of empanelment by insurance, other third parties.

All hospitals and Nursing homes having bed strength up to 50 Sanctioned beds and are in possession of supportive and utility facilities that are appropriate and relevant to the services being provided by organization.

a) Polyclinic Diagnostic Centres

2 SHCO (w.e.f. 1 jan 2017) Application Fee: 25,000/- Annual Fee: 1,10,000/- Virtual Assessment Fee: 3,000/- Plus GST@18%

NABH conducts various training and awareness programmes round the year regularly. It is advisable that the aspirant healthcare organizations attend Training Programme on Implementation (POI) for better understanding the standards.

The standards can be purchased online and the hard copy of the standard shall be dispatched to the address submitted while purchasing the same. Cost of the same is Rs. 1500/-
