National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) is a constituent board of Quality Council of India, set up to establish and operate accreditation programme for healthcare organisations. the board is structured to cater to much desired needs of the consumers and to set benchmarks for progress of health industry. AYUSH Hospital Accreditation Program started in 2009 in association with Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India. The AYUSH Entry Level standards were released in the year 2019 to help small AYUSH hospitals and day care centres who find it difficult to implement the accreditation standards. AYUSH Entry Level Standards (AELS) for hospitals is a single standard compiled for all specializations in AYUSH, and applicable on AYUSH hospitals with minimum five in-patient beds. AYUSH Entry Level Standards (AELS) for Centres is for day care centre/ OPD clinic. It has simplified and comprehended objective elements for all the system of AYUSH, developed in consultation with various stakeholders in the country, as a stepping stone for enhancing the quality of patient care and safety in AYUSH systems. Both standards are endorsed by Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India.
