This chapter places strong emphasis on minimizing medication errors, ensuring rational use of drugs, and safeguarding high-risk medications such as narcotics, look-alike/sound-alike (LASA) drugs, and chemotherapeutic agents. It also addresses the roles and responsibilities of pharmacists, nurses, and physicians in maintaining a safe medication process across the organization.
